While there, Tim studied Japanese full-time at a language school while Julia developed her interest in international cooking. They both taught English at the IBM Factory in Yasu, Japan.

     While in Japan, they were able to do quite a bit of traveling in Asia and Africa.

     Tim's free time is spent running. He loves being in the Sierra foothills with all the beautiful trail runs available to this sport. He is active in several running clubs and participates in races all over Northern California.

     Julia's hobbies include cooking, crafts and sewing. She has quite a large collection of international recipes and is always looking for more!

     Their son, Steve, is 8 years old and is really into sports, especially soccer!

     Their daughter, Madeline, is 7 years old. She also likes sports - baseball - and is in scouting.
